HOW TO GET THERE?
From Marrakech Menara Airport:
Jamaa el Fna is about 6 km (3.7 miles) from Marrakech Menara Airport.
By Taxi: Take a small taxi directly to the square. Be sure to negotiate the fare before the ride; a reasonable price is around 70-100 MAD.
By Bus: Hop on Bus No. 19 from the airport, which stops near Jamaa el Fna. The bus runs every 30 minutes, costs about 30 MAD, and takes approximately 20-30 minutes.
From the Medina:
Jamaa el Fna is centrally located in the medina. It’s a short walk from most riads (traditional Moroccan guesthouses).
Ask locals or follow signs pointing to “Place Jamaa el Fna.”
General Tips:
For a more scenic route, consider a horse-drawn carriage ride (caleche) from other parts of Marrakech. These rides are not just transport but also a unique experience.
Use Google Maps or offline navigation apps, as the medina’s winding alleys can be disorienting.
